Operation Turkey
Rippon Middle School is participating in Operation Turkey 2009, a community food drive sponsored by ACTS. Last year, ACTS distributed over 1,300 Thanksgiving food baskets in eastern Prince William County. This year, ACTS expects to feed nearly 2,100 families. Canned items most in need to fill baskets include: corn, green beans, baked beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie mix. Other items requested are macaroni & cheese, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, muffin or biscuit mix, and packaged gravy mix. Holding true to our motto, “We will because we can, together we make a difference,” ensures that many families in the community will be able to celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday. Please be generous and help us out with this worthwhile endeavor.  Food collections will continue through November 18th.  Thank you for your support.
